Good Morning, i really dont know there will be reason to send you an email, because i always laugh when i read the few stories you shared. Today is officially the first day of work in my office, i got to the office and i saw a list of people that are due for promotion, i was happy cos i really worked so hard the previous year, my KPI was on point and there was no reason my name should not be on the list… The bad news is that, there are already rumors that i am not married and what would a young girl like me be doing with my new Salary (300k).
I am really shocked that this thoughts are coming from women and not the Men in the office. Please does my marital status affect or should affect my promotion? mind you i am just 27.
